My roommate Angie had tickets for the Days of 47 Pops Concert at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake. A group of us went: Merrill, Angie, Matt, and Michelle. We had a great time. My friend Merrill realized as he was looking through his program that his former roommate from BYU was the guest soloist. The concert was amazing and we enjoyed a variety of music performed by the orchestra and sung by the choir--ranging from the Raiders of the Lost Ark theme music to Rawhide to patriotic music. It was an amazing concert and we were lucky Angie's parents performed with the choir so we could have the tickets!After the concert we went to dinner at JB's. I had $30 in gift cards from school there from teacher appreciation--so dinner was on me. I really don't like JB's so I wanted to use them all in one blow--so we did.
If you eat at JB's--just a word of caution--they won't poach eggs after noon and they won't let you order the biscuits and gravy combo after then either. I was a little disappointed as I tried to chose from the menu...
